It Was a Beautiful Day

A debut feature thriller from Perica Rai. Four friends return to a remote Slovenian mountain cabin years after an event at a party shattered their friendship; what begins as an attempt to face each other turns into something much harder to walk away from. Premiered at Grossmann Festival 2024, with international sales handled by Black Mandala.

Kreativist came in as a co-producer alongside Vertigo, Mediaspot, NuFrame and 001 — Tamir Gostiša credited on the production side and as music supervisor/editor. The score was assembled from three composers (Tamir Gostiša, Milijan Plužarev, Jan Baruca) plus licensed tracks from Slovenian bands, building tension slowly across the runtime, paving the way for the thriller scares along the way and the culmination at the end.
